The "Boot"

An original NOS spare tire boot is a flexible rubber sleeve with no visible seams or mold marks. Aftermarket boots are a blended black material with a visible manufacturing seam. They feel like plastic. 1964 and up spare tire locks included the boot. The early 1963 cars with no hole in the lock used no boot, the late 1963s with the hole in the lockface did use the boot.

The "Envelope"

Originally a small white key envelope contained the second set of keys in the glove box of cars from 1967 through 1979. We can also provide an envelope with knurl marks on it for 1970, 1971 & 1972 models.
